East Hampton Library Scholarship
East Hampton Library Melissa E. Morgan Scholarship
High school seniors graduating in 2022 who attend East Hampton High School and live in the East Hampton, Springs, and Wainscott school districts, are invited to apply for the 2022 East Hampton Library Melissa E. Morgan Scholarship.
Melissa E. Morgan was a long-time member of the East Hampton Library Board of Managers. Her commitment as a volunteer to many local organizations was a great example of how one person can make a difference in a community. Her generosity has made this scholarship possible.
Applicants are required to have 10 hours of community service documented at the East Hampton Library and are asked to submit a paragraph about their community service work here and why it was meaningful to them.
An essay on the topic, “The Importance of the Public Library in Our Community” is also required.
The East Hampton Library Melissa E. Morgan Scholarship will be awarded to five students this year, distributed the first two years of college in the amount of $1,000 per year.
Applications are available in the Young Adult room at the library and the East Hampton High School Guidance Office.
