Title of the Book: We’ll Always Have Summer

Brief Synopsis/Plot: We’ll Always Have Summer is the 3rd and final book in The Summer I Turned Pretty trilogy. The story is set in Cousins Beach, Massachusetts.  The main character, Belly, is a teenage girl who has spent her life caught between two brothers that she’s grown up with every summer. These boys are her mom’s best friend’s sons. Now that she’s older, she’s dealing with more complicated emotions and decisions about love and growing up. Belly wants to marry Jeremiah, who is one of the two brothers. However, her mom doesn’t want Belly to get married as she believes she is too young and still has much to see and learn about the world. This book takes place mostly in the summer and it’s all about figuring out who you are, who you love and what really matters. If you’re into romance, coming-of-age novels, and summer nostalgia, you’ll probably love this trilogy! My favorite part was the ending. I think the ending of this book was the perfect end to the trilogy. After everything the characters went through, it felt like things finally came full circle. Belly made a choice that felt true to who she had become, not just who she was at the beginning of the story. The ending gave closure and left me feeling like the characters had grown up and were ready for the next chapter of their lives.

What would you rate the book?: I would give this book 8 stars. The story was super emotional and kept me interested, especially because you can really feel how much the characters have grown since the first book. I liked seeing Belly go through these tough decisions and start to figure out what she really wants.  The only reason I’m not giving it a full 10 stars is because sometimes the drama felt a little over the top or dragged on a bit too long. But overall, it was a really good ending to the trilogy. It was emotional, romantic and perfect for anyone who loves a good summer love story.

Would you recommend this book to someone else?:I think it really depends on one’s interest. If you are someone who loves summer romance stories with a theme of growing up, I would highly recommend this. If not, then it might not be the best series to read. I personally enjoyed loving this trilogy, but I’m also someone who loves romance and summer.
